In a bench trial in DuPage County, Trivedi & Khan, P.C. successfully defended their client in a partnership dispute seeking millions in damages including a forced buyout. The Court ruled in favor of the defendant on all four counts brought by the plaintiff, including fiduciary duty violations. The partnership involved was an international IT company with clients throughout the world. After six years of litigation, Trivedi & Khan was able to ultimately prevail at trial with arguments concerning Plaintiff’s standing, which were novel under New York law. Trivedi & Khan were also able to prove that all damages were caused by Plaintiffs’ own actions, which had led to a Department of Justice investigation into visa fraud. Mr. Zubair Khan was able to secure a victory for his client and dismiss all claims.
