Attorneys at Trivedi & Khan represented AIMS ATM, LLC, a Texas based supplier and developer of ATM hardware and software, in a case brought by a competitor based in Illinois. The lawsuit, filed in March of 2009, sought over $50,000.00 in damages from AIMS and co-defendant First Data Corporation, claiming that AIMS had breached its service agreement by refusing to pay a portion of the ATM fees collected from a large number of ATM machines throughout the Chicagoland area.
After years of litigation, AIMS turned to the litigators at Trivedi & Khan to represent them at an evidentiary hearing concerning the parties’ obligations under their written agreement. After reviewing evidence from multiple witnesses, Judge Powell of the Circuit Court of Cook County, ruled that under the agreement, the case should be dismissed.
