One recent pro bono case involved a prisoner at a Cook County correctional facility who suffered a permanent injury due to inadequate medical attention while incarcerated. The injury was documented in prison medical records, however despite this, police officers, healthcare workers, and correctional officers failed to provide the necessary aid, resulting in both severe physical harm and emotional harm to the prisoner.
