Vani Vedam

Vani is an accomplished litigator with significant experience in representing clients in complex disputes, including advocating for clients in commercial litigation, breach of contract, creditors’ rights, and labor matters. In addition to her extensive litigation experience, Vani is a registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office and enjoys working with business owners on protecting their trademark rights.

Vani has skillfully represented companies of all types in breach of contract actions, commercial litigation, and creditors rights litigation.  She has handled hundreds of bench trials.

When she’s not working on a client matter, Vani works to give back to the legal community. She is a former president of the South Asian Bar Association of Chicago and currently sits on the SABA Chicago Advisory Board.  Vani is also an active member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America, Asian American Bar Association of Chicago, Chicago Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.

Vani received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chemistry, Psychology and Political Science in 2002.  While she was earning her Bachelor’s, she worked with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an intern in the Office of Research Analysis for a semester investigating statistics and information on asthma for a pilot website intended for the EPA technical staff and senior managers in her last year of college.  Vani earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School of Chicago in 2005.
